This week the Biden administration expanded overtime pay requirements to include more salaried workers. Starting in July, employees making $44,000 a year or less will qualify, up from the current threshold of just under $36,000. In January, the threshold will increase again, this time to those making up to $59,000.

Here & Now's Scott Tong talks with Bloomberg senior editor Mike Regan about the expansion in overtime pay.

This segment aired on April 26, 2024.
